The financial statements in the integrated report are the responsibility of the directors. They are responsible for selecting and adopting sound accounting practices, for maintaining an adequate and effective system of accounting records, for safeguarding assets and for developing and maintaining a system of internal control that, among others, will ensure the preparation of the financial statements achieves fair presentation. The financial statements set out in this report have been prepared by the directors in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards. They are based on appropriate accounting policies that have been consistently applied and are supported by reasonable and prudent judgements and estimates.

The financial statements have been prepared on the going-concern basis as the directors have every reason to believe the company has adequate resources in place to continue operations for the foreseeable future.

The external auditors are responsible for independently auditing and reporting on the financial statements in conformity with International Standards on Auditing. Their report is set out on page 74.
